Make time for your Will this October and help support Mind

Making or reviewing a Will is one of those important jobs that can stay on the to-do list for months, or sometimes years.

It gets put somewhere between sorting the paperwork drawer, renewing the insurance and all the other jobs we fully intend to get around to “soon”.

This October, we are giving people an extra reason to make the appointment.

To mark National Wills Month, JR Levins will donate £20 to Mind for every qualifying Will appointment that takes place during October 2026 when the code MIND2026 is quoted when booking.

The donation will be made by JR Levins. There is no additional charge to the client because of the donation, although our normal Will-writing fees will apply.

Why are JR Levins supporting Mind?

Mind is JR Levins’ Charity of the Year, and our team has been raising money throughout 2026 through activities including our monthly Mind Games challenges.

This October initiative is another way for us to support a cause that matters to our team while encouraging people to deal with something important in their own lives.

Mind provides mental health information and support, campaigns for better services and works alongside local Mind charities supporting communities across England and Wales.

Sometimes supporting a charity starts with a sponsored run or a fundraising challenge. This October, it can also start with finally booking that appointment you have been meaning to arrange.

Is it time to make or review your Will?

The campaign is open to people making their first Will as well as those who already have one and would like it reviewed.

There are plenty of reasons why somebody might decide it is time. You may have bought a home, welcomed a child or grandchild, married, separated or simply changed your mind about what you want to happen in the future.

Equally, you may have a Will sitting safely in a drawer that you have not looked at for ten years.

How do I take part?

Taking part is straightforward:

• Book a Will or Will review appointment with our Wills & Probate team by filling out our contact form.
• Quote MIND2026 when you make your booking.
• Your qualifying appointment must take place between 1 and 31 October 2026.
• Attend your appointment and JR Levins will donate £20 to Mind – at no cost to you.
• Normal Will-writing fees apply. The £20 donation is made by JR Levins and is not added to your bill.

What happens at a Will appointment?

You do not need to arrive knowing exactly what your Will should say, your appointment is an opportunity to explain your circumstances and what you would like to achieve. Our Wills & Probate team can talk through your wishes, answer questions and explain the next steps in plain English.

For many people, getting the appointment booked is the part they have been putting off. Once that first conversation has happened, the process often feels much more manageable.
