Levins in the Community

10/05/2017

As part of our commitment to the local community two of our private client solicitors, Carla Neal and Jessica Flaherty, recently attended a local SURF group meeting at Goodsion Park to give a presentation on Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection and Advance Directives.

SURF is a group of people who represent the views of people living with dementia, their carers and families across Liverpool. The group meets the first Friday of every month and aims to change attitudes about dementia, improve services and care, provide a voice for people with dementia, influence decision makers and support the people and families of those living with dementia.

The aim of the presentation was to give an overview of the Mental Capacity Act and trying to highlight when steps need to be taken to help anyone who is losing or has lost capacity.

If any of your family members sadly find that they have lost or are losing capacity please contact Carla Neal or Jessica Flaherty on 0151 480 5777 or at privateclient@jrlevins.co.uk and an appointment can be arranged at your convenience to discuss your options and to provide expert legal advice.
