Runcorn Linnets Progress to Liverpool FA Senior Cup Quarter Finals

16/01/2026

Following our sponsorship of Tuesday night’s Liverpool FA Senior Cup match, we are pleased to share an update from a well‑contested fixture at the APEC Taxis Stadium, where Runcorn Linnets secured a 2–1 win over MSB Woolton.

The match brought together two clubs with strong community roots, and it was an evening that showcased the best of local football. Goals from James Steele and Sean Miller saw Linnets progress to the quarter finals, while MSB Woolton delivered an impressive performance deserving of credit.

The Man of the Match, as voted by supporters, was Markell Foulds, who received his award from our match sponsor and firm partner, Dave Woods. With Dave also serving as Chair of MSB Woolton for more than 25 years, the occasion carried added significance for everyone involved and highlighted the connections that make grassroots football so special.
