JR Levins Sponsors Runcorn Beechwood Lightning U10’s Netball Team

We are pleased to support a local junior netball team after sponsoring new match dresses for Beechwood Lightning, an under-10 team based in Runcorn.

The team trains weekly at St Chad’s Sports Hall and competes in the Ball Hall League as part of Warrington Sports for All. Made up of ten Year 5 players and coached by Jo, Beechwood Lightning brings together young girls who share a real enthusiasm for netball and enjoy being part of a team.

For JR Levins, this sponsorship also has a personal connection. Ellie, daughter of Practice Manager Angela White, has been part of the team for the past two years. As a result, supporting the squad felt like a natural way for the firm to back something that already means a great deal to one of its own families.

Angela said: “Ellie’s netball team has become part of our weekly rhythm. Hard work, good moments and plenty to be proud of. They’re a brilliant group, and Ellie genuinely loves being part of the team.”

That sense of routine, commitment and enjoyment is a large part of what grassroots sport offers young people. It gives them a chance to stay active, work together, build confidence and develop friendships outside school. Just as importantly, it gives them a place to grow in a supportive environment, surrounded by coaches, parents and teammates who want to see them do well.

Some of the girls in the squad have been involved in netball since they were very young, with several starting at just three years old. That level of dedication says a lot about the club and the encouragement behind it. It also reflects the strong community spirit that continues to run through local sports clubs in Runcorn and the surrounding area.

JR Levins was delighted to help provide new dresses for the team so the players can represent Beechwood Lightning with pride throughout the season. While the sponsorship itself is simple, the difference it makes to a junior team can be meaningful. Feeling prepared, supported and part of something matters, especially at that age.
