JR Levins Announces Official Partnership with Runcorn Linnets Football Club

06/02/2026

JR Levins is pleased to announce a new three‑year partnership with Runcorn Linnets Football Club, a supporter‑owned club based in the heart of Runcorn.

Runcorn Linnets are widely recognised as one of the region’s most active community clubs. The club operates from the APEC Taxis Stadium and competes in the Northern Premier League Division One West. But their impact extends well beyond league tables.

  • Over 40 teams now play under the Linnets banner
  • More than 500 players, from age 3 to adulthood, take part in football every week
  • The club’s facilities serve hundreds of local people through training, programmes and events

From youth development and disability football to education programmes, holiday camps and community initiatives, the club provides structure, opportunity and belonging for residents across Halton.

For many, it is more than just a football club, its a central pillar of community life.

Runcorn Linnets Football Club

As a law firm, our work often brings us into contact with the realities of local life: family pressures, financial planning, life transitions and the everyday challenges that many people face. We see how important strong local institutions can be for wellbeing, stability and connection.

Grassroots football has an enormous role to play in that.

Not only does it keep young people active and engaged, it creates safe spaces, builds confidence, and offers families a positive, affordable community to be part of. In an area where access to structured youth activities can sometimes be limited, clubs like Runcorn Linnets provide something invaluable.

Their ongoing work to develop a new full‑sized 3G pitch is a good example. Once complete, it will support disability football, walking football, youth teams, and local groups. This will allow them to increase participation, giving more people the chance to stay active, connected and supported.

Our decision to support Runcorn Linnets over a multi‑year period reflects our long‑term commitment to the community. It allows the club to plan ahead and strengthens their ability to deliver programmes that make a lasting difference.

Earlier this year, we were also proud to support the Linnets as match sponsors during their Liverpool FA Senior Cup fixture, which you can read more about here.

The values that guide JR Levins align strongly with the ethos behind Linnets. The club belongs to its community. Its growth is powered by volunteers, families and supporters who believe in it. That connection is exactly the type of initiative we are proud to stand behind.

Over the next three years, our sponsorship will help support:

  • Local youth pathways
  • Inclusive football programmes
  • Community events and initiatives
  • Improvements to grassroots facilities

And as a business, we will continue to engage with the community off the pitch too, supporting families with legal services that help them plan and protect their future.

Angela White, Practice Manager, said:

“We are delighted to become a part of the Runcorn Linnets community, as we have supported people in Runcorn for many years, and this partnership is a great way for us to give something back. We are looking forward to working with the club and on behalf of everyone at JR Levins, we wish the team success for the seasons ahead.”

The Linnets’ squads continue to evolve, with a balanced team profile and an average age of around 28. Their mix of experienced players and emerging talent reflects the club’s wider commitment to development across all age groups.

As they prepare for the new season, we are pleased to play a small part in supporting their journey – both on matchdays and in the vital community work that runs quietly alongside the football itself.

We look forward to seeing the impact this partnership will have over the coming years, and we are proud to support a club that continues to strengthen its town in such meaningful ways.

Our commitment to the community extends beyond sponsorships. We’re here to help individuals and families across Runcorn, Widnes, Halton and the surrounding areas with clear, reliable legal advice when it matters most.

If you would like to speak to someone directly, our team is always happy to help.
