International Women’s Day: recognising the women who inspire our team

09/03/2026

International Women’s Day took place on Sunday 8th March. It is an opportunity to recognise the achievements of women and reflect on the people who shape and influence our lives.

We asked a few members of our team to share the name of a woman who has inspired or supported them, and why.

Emma Murphy

The answers were thoughtful and personal. Many spoke about mothers and grandmothers who demonstrated resilience through difficult times. Others reflected on friends and mentors who offered guidance, encouragement, and strength when it mattered most.

Demi reflected on how her auntie is her biggest rolemodel:

Demi Dryhurst

One colleague shared how her nana has shaped who she is today:

Rebecca Leigh Woodcock

Ruby reflected on the importance of women creating spaces for one another.Ruby Jordan

These reflections are a reminder that inspiration is not always found in public recognition or big moments. Often, it is shaped by the people closest to us and the example they set through everyday actions.

Michelle’s words were simple and powerful:

Michelle Fisher

One colleague shared how her best friend continues to inspire her every day:

Alice Morrow

This International Women’s Day, we recognise the women who guide, support, and inspire those around them 💜
